It’s Been Awhile: Juggling Life, Love, Work, and Book #4
Hello, dear readers—
Yes, it’s been a while.
Between writing my fourth book, editing, family life, and (finally!) stepping back from volunteering, the blog had to wait—but I'm back, and I’ve got stories to share.
I’ve missed this space more than I can say, but life—beautiful, busy, and often overwhelming—has a way of pulling us in all directions. Between deadlines, daily routines, and a never-ending to-do list, blogging quietly slipped to the bottom of mine.
So, where have I been?
I’ve been writing. A lot. I’m thrilled—and slightly exhausted—to share that I’m deep into writing my fourth book, a project that’s stretching me in all the best ways. Crafting a story or weaving ideas into a manuscript requires a certain kind of mental solitude, and sometimes that means tuning out the rest of the world for a while, when I can.
However, writing isn’t the only thing that has taken me away from my blog posts.
I’ve also been playing the deeply rewarding, never-quiet roles of grandmother, mother, wife, and editor. Each role demands its version of love and attention, whether it’s movies and “we-only-get-this-much-candy-at-grandma’s-house,” heart-to-hearts and celebrations, or edits and deadlines. And while it’s not always easy juggling them all, I wouldn’t trade any of it.
Oh—and volunteering! Yes, I’ve been involved in volunteer work for so long that it has taken up a significant portion of my time. While it was meaningful, I recently stepped away to reclaim my time. I’m learning to say no, creating space for the things that matter most right now—and to guard my creative energy just a little more fiercely.
Here I am, returning to this quiet corner of the internet with gratitude to those of you who have stayed with me. Thank you for your patience, your messages, and for continuing to check in. Your support has meant and continues to mean a lot.
I’m back, and I look forward to sharing more soon—about writing, life, and all the little moments in between.
